Emirates Airlines is throwing out a deal of $3,899 round-trip from New York City to Athens on business class and $499 round-trip, non-stop flights from New York to Milan in economy. Plus, there are low fares to Dubai, Athens, Bangkok, and more from all of Emirates’ U.S. hubs (like Chicago, Houston, and D.C.).
You’ll have to make up your mind relatively quickly as the sale ends at midnight on January 8. Since the prices are first come, first served, some of the ultra-low fares are already disappearing, so it’s best to book first, and plan later. The fares are available for travel between mid-January and late April, and then again from August to November—which means skipping peak season (for crowds and temperatures) in most locales.
The real perk here, besides the low flight prices, is Emirates’s fleet of Airbus A380s: each plane has the airline’s state-of-the-art seat-back entertainment system with 1,800 channels and top-notch in-flight amenities available in every fare class. For business class passengers, who have access to lie-flat seats, an in-flight bar, and two hours of free Wi-Fi, even service on the ground is fabulous, thanks to next-level lounges with clean, apartment-sized showers and quiet rooms. (You can even get a chauffeur to drive you to and from the airport for free on certain routes with a business class ticket.) If you’re in economy, know that you’ll have to pay for a seat unless you’re traveling with children or are a Silver loyalty member, but two checked bags and a carry-on are included in your fare.
How to book: Emirates has a dedicated site for its featured fares, so check to see what low prices are available from your nearest airport. The airline doesn’t have a calendar feature for you to compare different days’ prices online, so expect to do a little clicking to find the best fares for you.
