Man Number 12 (12 Numarali Adam) show
Written and performed by Erkan Kolçak Köstendil, the play tells the story of a goalkeeper who has spent years on the same team. After conceding several faulty goals in a row, he is benched and waits for years to regain his position. Fate intervenes, and he is given one last chance to play in a match where he may never see the ball again.
In these 90 minutes, the goalkeeper questions his past, his choices, and his life alongside the audience. The play explores themes of staying in the game, being part of a team, being alone, and stepping outside of one’s comfort zone. The audience becomes the 12th man in this play, transforming into a supporter for the goalkeeper.
