Festival Bay is now Pirates of the Bay, a place where families can experience themed play areas, a water park, arts and crafts, pizza-making, all sorts of cool games and more. Open every day until April, the new area features tonnes to do. There’s a kids’ splash pool, fun park and pirates’ sand play, available until Tuesday April 30, Sunday to Thursday from 3pm to mall closing time.
Kids’ crafts, including face painting and balloon bending, plus Carnival-style games such as basketball, water guns, knock down the cans and fishing will be available Sundays to Wednesdays from 4pm until mall closing time. If you fancy grabbing a bite at Pirates of the Bay, there will be food kiosks and picnic benches. Kiddies will also jump, slide and bounce on the bungee trampoline and giant inflatable slide.
Don’t miss the new IMAGINE show, taking place daily after sunset. “A Pirate’s Tale” tells the story of pearl diver Ameer, who fights pirates in the sea to rescue his beloved Ayesha. From being held hostage to returning the King of the Sea’s emerald ring, the story will be told through pyrotechnics, lasers and more as audiences watch the events unfold through the largest permanent projection in the world.
