Chinese technology company Xiaomi Global has opened its first offline store in the Middle East in Dubai. The 1,500 square feet Mi store at BurJuman Centre in Dubai is with an initial investment of more than Dh2 million.
Along with the opening of the Mi store at Burjuman Centre on Thursday, the company also presented its new smartphone models – Mi 6 and Mi Max 2. Mi is the abbreviation of the company’s name – Xiaomi Inc.
The opening is a joint venture with regional distributor, Task. Task chief executive Ravi Matthew, for his part, said Xiaomi Global aims to bring its other electronic products such as television sets, speakers, electric cycles and robot vacuum cleaners into the Middle East.
