The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security has introduced an automatic Emirates ID replacement for residence data amendments.
Through the authority’s digital channels, including the website and smart application, residents can now conveniently update their residency information. This encompasses personal details, professional changes, passport updates, and adjustments due to acquiring new nationality.
Accessing these services can be done via the Authority’s website or UAEICP smart app. Users log in using UAE Pass or a username, select the service, input application details, and pay fees. Alternatively, applications are accepted at approved customer happiness centers or typing offices.
To apply, five documents are needed: a colored personal photo, passport copy, sponsor’s signed data amendment request, and Emirates ID copy (both sides).
The application fee of Dh200 covers smart services, application, e-services, and federal authority charges. Incomplete applications or data will result in rejection after 30 days, with three similar rejections leading to permanent denial. Refunds, if applicable, are issued within six months to the original credit card or through local bank transfers or checks within five years.
The Authority emphasizes that these regulations are subject to change without prior notice.
