Dubai is set to host an action-packed two weeks of vibrant events celebrating Diwali, the Indian Festival of Lights, from Friday, October 25 to Thursday, November 7, 2024. With spectacular firework displays, free family events, live comedy, special markets, and cultural performances, there will be plenty of ways to join in the festivities across the city.
Fireworks Locations, Times, and Dates:
Dubai’s skies will be lit up with five dazzling fireworks displays dedicated to Diwali. Here’s where and when to catch them:
Al Seef – The first fireworks show kicks off on Friday, October 25, as part of the Noor Festival of Lights.
Global Village – Fireworks displays will be held on October 25, 26, and again on November 1 and 2 at 9 PM. These special Diwali-themed shows will coincide with Global Village’s weekly celebrations.
Free Family Events and Markets:
Diwali celebrations include a variety of free events and markets for families to enjoy:
Noor – Festival of Lights – Held at Al Seef from October 25 to 27, this three-day cultural fair will feature theatre shows, stand-up comedy, musical performances, Indian delicacies, puppet processions, and more.
Deepavali Utsav Funfair – On Saturday, October 26, at Etisalat Academy, this funfair will showcase Indian folk dances, games, rides, and food stalls.
Diwali Markets – Visit the Indian Pavilion at Global Village from October 28 to November 3, or check out the Diwali Fiesta Exhibition at Pullman Dubai JLT Hotel on October 26 for festive wear, jewelry, home decor, and more.
Deep Utsav – Hosted at Glendale International School on October 27, featuring live Dhol Tasha drummers, dance performances, games, and a live DJ.
