IndiGo, India’s budget airline, is set to launch new direct flights between Abu Dhabi and Kannur, a vibrant district in north Kerala, starting May 9. This daily non-stop service aims to provide enhanced travel options, particularly during the upcoming summer vacation season.
Here are the flight details:
- Departure from Kannur: 12:40 AM
- Arrival in Abu Dhabi: 2:35 AM
- Return flight from Abu Dhabi: 3:45 AM
- Arrival in Kannur: 8:40 AM
With this addition, IndiGo will now operate 56 weekly flights to Abu Dhabi from 8 different cities in India, facilitating travel, trade, and tourism between the two nations. Vinay Malhotra, head of global sales at IndiGo, expressed the airline’s commitment to offering superior connectivity and accessibility, ensuring affordable, punctual, and hassle-free travel experiences for passengers.
The introduction of this new service aligns with the Abu Dhabi Tourism Strategy 2030, which aims to boost visitor numbers to the emirate. It promises to provide passengers with more choices for their summer getaways and further strengthens the air connectivity between India and the UAE.
