Ras Al Khaimah residents are gearing up for a transformative journey as the emirate introduces the fourth edition of the RAK Biggest Weight Loser Challenge 2024 (RBWLC 24). The 12-week initiative, set to commence on December 16 and conclude on March 4th—coinciding with World Obesity Day—promises participants the chance to win attractive prizes simply by shedding pounds. The much-anticipated award ceremony is scheduled for December 6.
This year, the challenge features four distinct categories: physical, virtual, corporate, and school children and staff. Notably, the fourth category is a recent addition, encouraging school teams to participate and fostering a spirit of healthy competition.
Cash prizes await participants in each category. The top three achievers in the physical category will receive Dh300, Dh200, and Dh100 per kilogram of weight lost, applicable to both male and female participants. The virtual category offers enticing rewards such as complimentary staycations, health and holiday packages, dining vouchers, gym memberships, and more.
Special recognition and prizes will be reserved for individuals who achieve the highest percentage of weight loss in both the physical and virtual categories. In addition, corporate and school teams with the highest collective weight loss will emerge victorious in their respective categories.
Weigh-ins for the physical category are scheduled for December 16th and 17th, 2023, at RAK Hospital. Virtual participants can conveniently weigh in at their local clinics, while corporate teams and schools are encouraged to register as teams.
