Dubai Frame
The Dubai Frame is one of the city’s most visually captivating and symbolically rich landmarks, designed to resemble an enormous picture frame that highlights Dubai’s remarkable journey from past to present. Towering 150 metres high and stretching 95 metres across, this architectural marvel stands proudly in Zabeel Park, offering visitors a unique combination of museum, observatory, and immersive storytelling experience. Its golden exterior glimmers under the sun, while its innovative structure creates a literal “frame” through which the contrasting landscapes of old and new Dubai can be admired.
The experience begins on the ground level, where visitors walk through a series of multimedia galleries that trace the city’s evolution. Through interactive displays, digital projections, and atmospheric soundscapes, guests witness Dubai’s transformation from a humble fishing and pearl-trading village into a global icon of luxury, innovation, and ambition. These exhibits beautifully capture the culture, heritage, and milestones that define the city’s identity.
After exploring the museum, visitors ascend in a high-speed elevator to the Sky Deck. This upper level features a breathtaking glass-bottomed walkway that gives the sensation of floating above the city. From this vantage point, “Old Dubai” — including the Dubai Creek, Deira, and Karama — unfolds on one side, while the modern skyline with its futuristic architecture dominates the opposite horizon. The contrast offers a symbolic reminder of how far Dubai has come while still honouring its roots.
For many visitors, the Dubai Frame is more than just an observation point — it is a poetic representation of the city’s vision, blending tradition, progress, and innovation. Whether visited during the day or illuminated at night, it remains a must-see attraction that perfectly encapsulates Dubai’s dynamic spirit.
