If you’re planning to visit Dubai Mall, you might need to find a new meeting point. One of the busiest taxi drop-off and pick-up points at one of the world’s biggest malls has changed locations.
The taxi point near Waitrose has now moved to Zabeel P3. So, if you usually avoid the long walk to the Metro, you’ll need to remember this new spot. The new location means you’ll need to take a short walk across the bridge-tunnel from Ekart Zabeel to the rest of Dubai Mall.
However, the taxi drop-off and pick-up point near the indoor waterfall remains unchanged.
The change was announced via the mall’s Instagram story and came into effect on Monday, August 12.
Earlier this year, Dubai Mall introduced parking fees for the first time since December 2023. Barrier-free ticketless parking was implemented with Salik, using vehicle plate recognition to deduct fees. The first four hours are free, with charges introduced thereafter at Grand Parking, Cinema Parking, and Fashion Parking. Zabeel and Fountain Views do not currently charge for parking.
Additionally, a new tourist hop-on, hop-off bus service in Dubai has been announced, with Dubai Mall as its starting point for all journeys.
Dubai Mall, one of the world’s largest malls, is set to expand further with a Dhs1.5 billion project announced in June. The expansion will add 240 new luxury retail and dining options to the already massive mall, which currently measures 1.2 million square meters, making it the second-largest shopping mall in the world by total land area.
