Dubai is taking another step towards simplifying the travel experience for international visitors. From this month, tourists will be able to apply for single-entry and multiple-entry UAE tourist visas through Visit Dubai, the emirate’s official tourism platform.

The initiative was announced on November 1 by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai. The new facility aims to make it easier for travellers to manage their visa applications alongside their holiday planning, attraction bookings and other travel arrangements.

Tourist Visa Applications Through Visit Dubai

The new service will provide travellers with an additional option to apply for a pre-arranged tourist visa without having to navigate multiple platforms. Visit Dubai has already introduced a dedicated visa information section, outlining available visa options, application charges, documentation requirements and expected processing times.

As listed on the website, a 30-day single-entry tourist visa starts from Dh200, excluding VAT. The standard processing time is approximately three working days.

However, visa applications will continue to be assessed and approved by the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai (GDRFA Dubai). Further information about the application process will be released closer to the launch.

What Tourist Visa Options Are Available?

The Visit Dubai platform currently lists several visa options for international travellers who need a pre-arranged visa to enter the UAE.

These include:

  • 30-day single-entry tourist visa
  • 60-day single-entry tourist visa
  • 30-day multiple-entry tourist visa
  • 60-day multiple-entry tourist visa
  • Five-year multiple-entry tourist visa

Travellers should also note that citizens of more than 80 countries can obtain a visa on arrival in Dubai. GCC nationals are exempt from visa requirements, while residents of GCC countries can apply for a UAE e-visa.

Dubai Also Announces a New Visitor Loyalty Programme

In another tourism-related announcement, Dubai introduced the Dubai Access Club, an invitation-only programme for repeat visitors. The initiative is designed to reward returning tourists with exclusive experiences and benefits across the emirate.

The two initiatives are part of Dubai’s wider strategy to enhance its tourism offering, improve digital services and encourage more international visitors to explore the city.
