Dubai RTA introduces Weekend-only bus from Metro to Beach

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has unveiled a series of enhancements aimed at improving the commuting experience for bus passengers. Among the notable updates is the introduction of a weekend-only bus route, W20, which will operate from Friday to Sunday between 5 pm and 11 pm, providing convenient transportation for Al Mamzar beachgoers, with departures scheduled every half-hour from Stadium Metro Station to Al Mamzar Beach.

In addition to this new route, RTA is implementing several adjustments across its bus network to streamline travel and reduce commute times. Notable changes include renaming Route 11B to Route 11 for a more intuitive user experience, as well as rerouting and renaming Routes 16A and 16B to Routes 16 and 25, respectively. Route 16 will now connect Al Rashidiya Bus Station with Al Awir, while Route 25 will operate between Gold Souq Bus Station and Al Rashidiya.

Furthermore, RTA will extend Route F62 to encompass Dubai Festival City and the Al Garhoud neighborhood, while Route C04 will now reach the Mohammed bin Rashid Library. Routes 103 and 106 will offer direct, non-stop services from main stations to the Global Village. Additionally, Route E303 will be rerouted via Al Ittihad Street to Sharjah, with Routes 16A, 16B, and 64A being discontinued.

Moreover, RTA’s Public Transport Agency is committed to enhancing journey times for 13 bus routes, including 5, 7, 62, 81, 110, C04, C09, E306, E307A, F12, F15, F26, and SH1, ensuring quicker travel for passengers.

These improvements underscore RTA’s dedication to enhancing mobility and accessibility for residents and visitors alike, reflecting its ongoing efforts to provide efficient and comfortable transportation solutions across Dubai.
