Fitness fans, listen up – ClassPass has launched in Dubai. The global fitness app is now in action in the emirate – and whether you’re a yoga-lover, boxing machine or HIIT fanatic there’s a class for you.
Monthly membership starts at Dhs399, and if you sign up today (Tuesday October 16) you can get a free one-month trial, while spaces last. The app works in a similar way to established exercise class schemes GuavaPass and Classport, allowing gym bunnies and fitness enthusiasts to sign up to a range of workouts at various studios.
Classes available on the system include barre, Pilates, HIIT, spinning, boxing, strength training and more, at 130 studios including The Platform, Mojo Reformer Pilates, Physique 57, The Warehouse Gym, FlyWheel and CycleBar.
Studios are all over Dubai from Al Quoz to Downtown Dubai, Dubai Marina and Jebel Ali. Other studios include Reform Athletica, CoreClubPro, A-tone, GFX, TribeFit, BARE, CrossFit GoldBox, 1SIX8, Dryp, Method MVT and PowerCycle.
ClassPass launched in New York in 2013 and is now operating in more than 60 cities worldwide.
It also ties in with the upcoming Dubai Fitness Challenge, where residents are encouraged to do 30 minutes of exercise a day for 30 days. Each class is worth a certain amount of credits, determined by several factors, including time of the class, studio, location, popularity and other factors. Users can also top up credits if they exceed their monthly plan or roll over credits if they have not used all of them. It’s time to lace up those trainers and hit the gym.
